[ltp] trackpoint unresponsive and jumpy

Hi,

compared with windows my trackpoint installation is quite bad. I have to
push it much harder and it jumps at higher speeds. I tried to fine tune the
setting in KDE's control panel, but nothing is as good as under windows.

How do you get the best results? Are there some other tools?

Here are my insufficient, too slow settings:

XF86Config:
Section "InputDevice"
        Identifier "Mouse0"
        Driver "mouse"
        Option "Protocol" "PS/2"
        Option "Device" "/dev/mouse"
EndSection

KDE Control Center-->Peripherals-->Mouse--Advanced:
Pointer Accel: 4
Pointer Thres: 2

With higher acceleration the pointer becomes jumpy. Also the knob is still
much less sensitive than under windows.

BTW, I have a thinkpad X24.

Thanks in advance.
