[ltp] A31 and Zip 250

I just installed a Zip 250 in my A31. The unit works fine under W2K but
I am having a problem getting it mounted under RH 9. When I try to
mount any cartridge I get the following message:

mount: wrong fs type, bad option, bad superblock on /dev/hdc,
or too many mounted file systems

A search through the boot log shows

hdc: IOMEGA ZIP 250 ATAPI, ATAPI FLOPPY drive
hdc: 98304kB, 196608 blocks, 512 sector size
hdc: 244736kB, 239/64/32 CHS, 4096 kBps, 512 sector size, 2941 rpm

Looks like the drive is being seen fine (although Kudzu never picked up
on it). I've tried several different disks with many combinations of
filesystems in the mount command (akak mount -t msdos, mount -t vfat)
but nothing seems to work.

Would appreciate any pointers you all can give.
