I have a 600e running RH 7.3. The other day, all of a sudden the mouse became erratic and jumpy, zooming across the screen. When it rebooted I received the error code for a bad backup battery, which I have now replaced.

Unfortunately, even though both problems came on at the same time, the battery has only corrected the boot error.

The mouse is still jumpy and erratic, and its actually still jumpy on the BIOS/setup screen.

I'm not sure what else I can do if it doesn't work properly in BIOS. Is there a jumper to totally reset the CMOS settings (as is common on pc motherboards).

Someone else has suggested that the mouse may be dirty, but it came on so suddenly I don't think that is the case.

any suggestions would be appreciated.
