[ltp] ACPI + A21m Thinkpad

Greetings!

I'm trying to configure an A21m thinkpad to work with ACPI instead of APM.
According to all the information in the /proc/acpi... (I forget the rest) I
do have all kinds of wonderful support for ACPI and should really require APM
anymore.

Almost. Well, not really.

Things that I would expect it to put to sleep (closing the lid, hitting the
Fn buttons accordingly) have no effect on the state of this notebook.

I'm using Suse 8.2 if anyone asks. But I think that the information I need
is much more generic than a specific distribution.

The ACPI information I've been able to pull up on so far indicates that this
should work just fine, at least it's supported.

The other area that I'm more concerned with is the PCMCIA interaction with
power management. I have had a variety of configurations on this notebook
and only a few of them have worked successfully with disabling the PCMCIA
cards when suspending/sleeping.
