When you get that screen it means that the bootable portion of your 
hard drive cannot be "seen" by the BIOS. You either blown away your MBR 
or your hard drive died. A quick and dirty way to check if the drive 
died is to boot using a bootable DOS floppy and run FDISK. If FDISK 
cannot find your drive then it is toast and needs to be replaced(you 
could try reseating the drive and see if that works).
