[ltp] R40 ACPI EmbeddedControl Errors

Hi,

I am using acpi-20030523 on my Thinkpad and have some problems. First I got 
error messages about ECDT:
ACPI: Found ECDT
ACPI: Could not use ECDT
At this state console blanking and the FN+ Keys (e.g. Mute and Light) worked.

Because of this upgraded the Bios from 1.08 to 1.09 (the Changelog says 
something about ECDT fixing). I also updated the Embedded Controler from 1.06 
to 1.07. BTW what exactly is the Embedded Controller.

Now ACPI is a bit more working but throws me a lot of "EmbeddedControl" error 
messages:

(this is an extract from dmesg|grep -i acpi, if someone need it, I can send 
more logs)

With this I have a /proc/acpi with some files and dirs. E.g. processor is 
there, but battery and ac directories are empty. E.g. the preformance file 
only have 0 MHz entries. And now FN+ doesn't work anymore.

Well, does anyone have an idea?
