[ltp] R32 external VGA resolution in Xfree 4.3 (SuSE 8.2)

Hi all,

I recently tried to upgrade my R32 (Mobility Radeon 7500) from SuSE 8.1 
to 8.2 but ran into problems with the XFree-version (4.3) in this 
distribution.

The old radeon-driver in XFree 4.2 was able to display up to 1600x1200 
on an external screen via the VGA-port. The external screen was 
autodetected and with the Fn-key I was able to switch modes (LCD, CRT, 
both).

After the upgrade, the exact same XF86Config wasn't able to detect the 
external screen properly and refused to display anything higher than 
1024x768x32/60Hz.

Multihead and Xinerama worked though.

Reading the radeon-man-page did not give me any clue.

Any hint what might be wrong here??
