In a fit of pique, my daughter spilled a glass of water, some of which splashed onto my 600E.

The 600E immediately powered off. Fast, too, before I could unplug it and/or take the battery out.

At one time I owned laptops that had "dew detectors" on them, and would shut the thing off (and/or refuse to power on) if there was too much moisture detected. Do the TP's have these too? I'm hoping against all hope that the engineers at IBM thought this through and added some safety feature to power it off if it had too much moisture or condensation.

I am letting the thing dry now. Should I bother trying to power it back on again? Or, should I be heading straight to Ebay?

Thanks.
