[ltp] linux mandrake on a thinkpad T30

After installing Red-hat, the default display manager is "gdm". But on
mandrake sometime it happens to be gdm or xdm. What I am trying to do
here is to make gdm the default whenever xdm is.

There is now a working init script for apmiser, try as root:

# service apmiser start

To make it run at boot:

# chkconfig apmiser on
