[ltp] Red Hat 8.0 with R31

Hi,

I installed Red Hat 8.0 on my Thinkpad R31. Everything seems fine, but
when I log out or shutdown, the machine freezes up and the caps lock and
monitor lights start blinking in unison. what gives? does it have
something to do with the power management?
