Then you must have done a non-standard installation (there are many
cases where you don't want the Mandrake Control Center, but you have to
manually unselect it ...). I have done about 15 installations of
9.1beta1 through 9.1 final on a variety of machines and never seen this
happen.

It is a simple matter to install it:

# urpmi drakconf

If you don't have urpmi, you must have done a very minimal installation,
and you would want to install it first using rpm.
