Has anyone succeeded in getting the tv-out on a Thinkpad R30 (with a
Cyberblade Ai/1 gfx card) to work correctly with Linux and XFree 4.3?

I'm currently using Mandrake 9.2 and I thought the Thinkpad and
tpctl-packages were the answer to my problems with the options
- --setup-display-TV[=(disable|enable)] and
- --setup-display-TV-select[=(disable|enable)], but the R30 is, alas, not
on the supported models list since it's lack of a SMAPI BIOS or Super
I/O chip.

Is this problem solvable? Of course I _can_ get a VGA->Composite/S-VHS
converter and connect it to the external VGA-port (which works
perfectly) but I would rather get the tv-out support to work.

Any support and help appreciated.

Regards,
Jon Solberg
