AFAIK it should work out-the-box if you turn off fast boot (does on my
600X).

9.2's kernel has the thinkpad modules (plus tpctl packages), plus all
the thinkpad-specific software (tpb, tp4utils) is in contrib.

The only in-distro ad (well, ok, bookmark in the browser) hasn't changed
since 9.2rc2, and no-one complained about it then funnily enough ... The
in-installation ad just replaces one of the normal images you see during
package installation.
