Hi Michael

I have an A30p with Mandrake 9.2 previously I had 9.1 and before that 9.0 all
on this same laptop.
What I found with MANDRAKE is that the system will configure almost everything
IF it is plugged in so that it can be automatically detected when you install
and/or update the system. The only exceptions SO FAR that I have found is my
Cannon S200 digital camera which DID configure AFTER the system and my
printer also a Canon BJC85 which DID configure AFTER installation. Other than
that NOTHING regardless of what would configure after installation or
upgrade. That ESPECIALLY includes DSL and Wi-Fi. To configure DSL a DSL
source MUST be supplied on installation and/or up grade. The same applies to
Wi-Fi. If Wi-Fi is activated where the computer receives a strong signal at
installation and/or upgrade Wi-Fi WILL NOT configure. All attempts to
configure DSL and Wi-Fi after installing and/or upgrading after NOT supplying
the correct inputs at installation and/or upgrade have resulted in the device
NOT working correctly. I know Mandrake is not suppose to function this way;
it does.

You may have a similar issue.

Frank
