Hi,

did anyone get bootsplash to work properly in 2.6.5?

I found a bootsplash 3.1.4 patch for 2.6.4 which gave a lot of rejects
on 2.6.5. I made the neccessary changes manually.

Now if i boot into linux bootsplash doesn't get displayed, even though i
have splash=silent in the kernel line and the kernel output holds the
following lines...

...
Kernel command line: root=/dev/hda8 rw hdc=ide-scsi hde=ide-scsi
hdf=ide-scsi idebus=66 vga=791 splash=silent mem=785856K
...
bootsplash: silent mode.
...
radeonfb: cannot map FB
vesafb: framebuffer at 0xd8000000, mapped to 0xf0814000, size 15168k
vesafb: mode is 1024x768x16, linelength=2048, pages=9
vesafb: protected mode interface info at c000:9868
vesafb: scrolling: redraw
vesafb: directcolor: size=0:5:6:5, shift=0:11:5:0
fb0: VESA VGA frame buffer device
...

The strange thing is that on shutdown it displays the bootsplash screen
properly (at least it did on the last reboot).

The machine is a T23.

André.
