Depending upon the thickness of the cloth and its size, it might do
more harm than good. If it's too thick, it might put pressure on the
screen/keyboard, and if it's too large, it'll hang over the edges and
interfere with the screen's closure.

If you're really cheap or need a temporary solution, an normal letter
size piece of paper seems to work well.
