[ltp] Softmodem in R51 doesnt work in SuSE 9.1

is that the same modem that the T-40p has?

i have a T-40p and my modem works fine. i use Fedora
Core 1 with kernel 2.4.22-1.2199 (i used used yum
update). if it is the same modem as mine you are in
luck. you have to use slmdm-2.7.10 (newer versions
didn't work). untar slmdm-2.7.10.tar, then go inside
and vi amrmo_init.c. change #define PCI_DEVICE-ID_ICH3
to 0x24C6 (same for ICH4). then make, make
install-amr, modprobe slamrmo.
