Okay - here's what I see in dmesg with my WG511, running Fedora Core 3
with current updates (kernel 2.6.9-1.681_FC3):

Inserting card:

Loaded prism54 driver, version 1.2
PCI: Enabling device 0000:03:00.0 (0000 -> 0002)
divert: allocating divert_blk for eth1

No lights yet.

Running "ifcfg eth1":  (I meant to type that above instead of "ifup"):

eth1: islpci_open()
eth1: resetting device...
eth1: uploading firmware...
eth1: firmware uploaded done, now triggering reset...

At this point, the card appears to work normally.  Green light on, orange
light on while sending/receiving packets.
