Well, they are just assembled from parts all over the world. Mine
are made in China, but all the parts came somewhere else. 
Magnesium casing, plastic casing, LCD, RAM, IR/firewire unit, fan
& processor heatsink are "made in Japan". Motherboard and
bluetooth card are made in Taiwan. WLAN is made in Malaysia. 
Keyboard is made in Thailand. All that has been made in mainland
China is stickers. They are printed in China. ;)
