[ltp] xorg / R51 fonts display blurry?

Hello,
I've got 15" screen R51, Radeon 7500, dual booting XP and Fedora FC3 + 
gnome.
I've noticed that there's a difference in displaying fonts and screen 
quality.
Under Gnome, fonts look blurry and cause me headache. In XP it's much 
better. I've got hinting on and set "Contrast" option in Gnome font 
configuration applet.

Is anyone experiencing such a problem? What can be done?

P.S. Meanwhile I've forced to stay in Windows :(
