Hi all,

I am running Debian/Sid (unstable) with a 2.6.9. kernel on an R50. My
soundcard is nothing fancy , the regular AC'97 ICH4-chip

(lspci: Multimedia audio controller: Intel Corp. 82801DB/DBL/DBM
(ICH4/ICH4-L/ICH4-M) AC'97 Audio Controller (rev 01)

Anyway, I can't get the machine to play midi-files. The KDE-controlls don't
show a midi-device so I guess it's no wonder. I tried loading several
midi-related modules but did not succeed. Does anyone have an idea? If so -
please share it with me! :-)

Oh, btw. I am using alsa.

Thanks in advance
Nils
