hei alex thanks for your help, i finally have an almost working
xorg.conf

root # glxgears 
6897 frames in 5.0 seconds = 1379.400 FPS
6961 frames in 5.0 seconds = 1392.200 FPS
6882 frames in 5.0 seconds = 1376.400 FPS
6964 frames in 5.0 seconds = 1392.800 FPS
6971 frames in 5.0 seconds = 1394.200 FPS
6961 frames in 5.0 seconds = 1392.200 FPS


now my problem is that if i set in section screen the modes as the ones
you have in the XF86Config page they wont work but if i leave them as
follows i get a low res on the flat screen and a higher in the crt. if i
tweak the config to have both in 1024x768 as soon as i launch glxgears
or any other glx related appli the second screen -CRT- switches into a
clone of the flatscreen. any clue why?

this is the one im using can u comment so i can clean it a bit.
