Continuation of "Battery went nuts"

I'm not sure if others experience similar things with their T4x batteries but 
the new replacement battery had a huge drop of its "last full" capacity too.

It happened while fully discharging the battery (Just as was the last time - 
there was just no crazy blinking of the battery symbol).
The quarter to half discharges did let the "last full" decrease too but only 
by a few ten mW per cycle. 

After I got the replacement battery I implemented a little cron job that runs 
every 5mins and logs a few bits of information about the batteries condition 
(see attached files battery.tar.gaz and battery.sh). Look at the timestamp of 
"2004-12-20 15:40" to see the drop

If you have a T4x and have observed similar behaviour, please let me know. A 
friend experienced the same phenomenon I described in the first edition of 
"Battery went nuts". If you haven't paid much attention to your batteries 
condition, use the attached script to create a log and have a look at it 
every day or so...

I think something is wrong with these batteries or the charger built into the 
notebook and I'd like to collect some more data about this.

What do you people think about all this (please have a look at the attached 
logfile too) ??


Either way, I'm gonna call IBM support tomorrow... again... this is 
frustrating!
