Hi, I have a T42p and do have the fingerprint scanner working as my BIOS
password.  You need to set this up in Windows, but after that it runs
every time you power on, before the bootloader.  Of course, it will not
allow you to log in to Linux as it does Windows.
If you need help setting up ibm_acpi, I published a HOWTO on this list a
few weeks ago, so you may want to search the archives.
How did you get the Intel wireless chipset?  Mine came with Atheros...
