[ltp] Thinkpad 770 will not boot

One final thought before I bury my 770x. Could this have been the result of 
Mandrake 9.2 being set up to automatically invoke the possibly deadly 
lmsensors/i2c combo?

Since I just recently installed 9.2 on this (and it did work a few times), I'm 
not sure this is true - just a possibility.  Anyone else out there running 
Mandrake 9.2 on a tp770 series?
