Hi All

Today I setup the laptop ie. opened it up, put it on the desk, plugged in the
mouse, connected the DSL cable, turned it on and initiated Konqueror browser.
Immediately I received the following URL and the message that I have cookies
turned off which are required for activation.

http://filter.belkin.com/setup.asp?SN=BEL13KK0&RP=21456&IP=192.168.0.2&FV=2.00.04

I am not receiving this URL when I start Mozilla or Opera or Gallon or Blue
Fish or Scream just Konqueror which I prefer.

You DO NOT want to do this with Mandrake 9.1 if you have a laptop unless you
want major internet connection issues. Recall that a normal laptop uses both
dial up and DSL. That is a normal laptop. This one one uses dial up by land
line, dial up by cell phone, DSL by land line and DSL by wireless. I have
dial up by land line and DSL by land line operational on the Linux side of
this dual boot box. Wireless would probable be easy to accomplish but I have
no wireless network. Linux cell is another issue. A cell phone program is
required which I have not been able to obtain.
Beleave me dealing with the pop-up is a much simpler issue than sorting out
how Mandrake screwed up internet connections. If this was Mandrake 10.0 with
the new kernel I would figure out how to resolve the issue but not on this
old of a distribution.
