The bios battery is quite often sold on ebay. The problem could also simply=
 go=20
away as you use the computer regularly - I have seen this happening before.=
=20
Maybe the machine was out of use for a long time.

You - or the person who sold the Thinkpad to you - should know the password=
s.=20
The boot password can be disabled, but the Supervisor password can't.

If the person that provided the machine can't provide the password too, I=20
suspect there is something wrong going on.=20
