The WiFi card is the only Mini-PCI card. But the modem is also on a card.

I think the modem is an AMR card, and could (theoretically) be swapped out
with a bluetooth+modem AMR card.

I don't know if the BIOS would stop you from doing that, but I can't
imagine that it would. (Assuming the modem+bluetooth card is the one IBM
sells, at least.)

FWIW, the BIOS lets you swap in the WiFi cards that IBM sells. So you can
upgrade a non-WiFi Thinkpad to one with WiFi. But you have to buy an
approved card.

I think that the Bluetooth antenna isn't installed unless the system
shipped with the modem+bluetooth card. Installing the antenna would
probably be some work. I imagine you'd have to take apart the display.

But since you've looked at the HMM, you probably already know that. :)
