I just installed FC2 and it seems to be working ok. i was trying to
install fc1. it would go to the stage where it was to copy an install
image to the drive and then give me a message saying that there was
not enough hard drive space. dunno what really was happening.

FC2 installed smoothly without any glitches whatsoever.

my partition table:
Device Boot Start End Blocks Id System
/dev/hda1 * 1 60945 30716248+ 7 HPFS/NTFS
/dev/hda2 146146 155055 4490640 12 Compaq diagnostics
/dev/hda3 60946 62970 1020600 83 Linux
/dev/hda4 62971 146145 41920200 f W95 Ext'd (LBA)
/dev/hda5 62971 90000 13623088+ 83 Linux
/dev/hda6 90001 92025 1020568+ 82 Linux swap

Partition table entries are not in disk order

I think the Compaq diagnotics partition is IBM's rescue partition.

I have not been able to install centrino on this. any clues about drivers?

regards
parag
