[ltp] Fan noise fix

I burned this update onto a CD-RW as usual, ran the update program, and 
after a while I got a beep, the screen changed to a lower brightness, 
and about 5 random ASCII characters appeared on the top of the screen. 
After a while (well beyond 30 seconds) I gave up and just powered down 
manually. I tried running the update again but it claimed that I'm on 
3.03 now and refused to do anything.

As for the fan, no change. The 'bing' (acceleration noise) is still 
there and the fan stays on all the time.

I think these laptops just run hot, end of story... I'm tempted to put 
in a T40p fan like someone on this list did with his R50, though.
