hello,

this is a litle bit off topic (not linux specific) but
i couldn't find any info available and i would
appreciate any suggestions.

the ecp mode in my printer port (configured at the
bios settings) seems to not work. i have an fpga
development board that needs 'ecp' or 'epp' mode in
the printer port, and it doesn't work with the t40p
laptop. i have tried with other PCs and the board
works fine (it has a check compatibility light that
checks ok in other PCs). i already have tried
different settings with no luck (booted like 20 times
so far). i wonder if any of you has had a similar
problem or if my problem is an isolated case.

does anybody know of a software test avalible for this
specific problem?

any suggestion is welcome.

TX

PS: printers work fine.
my current settings in the parallel port are:

parallel port [enabled]
mode [ECP]
Base I/O address [378]
Interrupt [IRQ 7]
DMA [DMA 0]
