Hi Chirs,

you are not alone :-/ I have the same problem with my T41. You find a lot of people having this problems on T41(p) and R50(p) in the net. After about 20min the fan starts turning and never stops again even if the laptop is totally idle.
On proposition of someone here in germany (has the problem on a R50p) -- who as escalated the problem with IBM -- I called the german IBM service 3 weeks ago. They said that they have an exemplar in testing at the moment and try to figure out the problem. They told me to call back in three weeks so I'll try this week to get to know something new. Then I'll report here...
At least they sounded as if they take the problem seriously! It couldn't be possible that expensive Thinkpads are noisier than half price cheap laptops with pentium M...!
