I agree about Belkin making POS products.

I own three belkin items at home:

-Belkin USB Switch box
I've reported numerous bugs about this device. They always tell me they
are being fixed... here we are a year later.

1. If you hold down a key, it stops repeating it after about 30 or so
times. This REALLY sucks for any gamers.
2. If you have a UHCI based USB PC running linux, it will not work in
the first switchbox slot; but it will work in the second. OHCI based USB
PCs running Linux work fine in both slots.
3. The switchbox causes a TON of background noise on the microphone.
4. The switchbox requires a PC with a parrell port and Windows 98/ME to
upgrade the firmware (will not work with Windows NT/2000/XP or Linux).

-Belkin Bluetooth USB Adapter
1. Adapter does not actually load correctly, it uses the windows drivers
(which in Windows cause the machine to blue screen numerous times) to
load the firmware onto the device. So basically even though they say
that it supports linux, you have to boot to windows once to get the
firmware loaded. If the adapter loses power then you will have to return
to Windows to be able to use the adapter.

-Belkin USB 5 port hub.
1.Hub frequently stops working. Must unplug all devices from it, unplug
power and plug back in. Seems to happen with no rhyme or reason.

-Belkin 8 port KVM Server switchbox (in a rack at work)
1. Device frequently locks up, must be power cycled.
2. When naming a server with the device, the machine inputs each letter
twice if you type to fast.
3. Some times the on screen menu will not go away.
4. Machine will randomly lose all server names.

Basically, I won't buy another Belkin product. Period.
</rant>

Sorry for the complaint. I don't actually own one of those routers, but
it really doesn't surprise me coming from Belkin.
