Previously, I was running RH9 and the poweroff command worked just fine. I have since moved to Gentoo and Im running a 2.4 kernel with APM built-in. The power saving stuff mostly works but poweroff doesn't actually powerdown the machine. Do I need to use ACPI for this or is there an APM setting somewhere? -- Aj. Systems Administrator / Developer
