[ltp] Modem AC'97 / Floppy disk Info for a Newbie

when i used the agere drivers it was all auto-configured by the suse gui 
so i'm not sure exactly what the problem will be, but you probably need 
to configure ppp also. this will be with kppp, or you can use wvdial (my 
preferred choice) or pppconfig - all progs to configure the dial-up 
process as opposed to the modem hardware. from what i know kppp is very 
easy to use so that's your best bet - you'll need your ISP details 
(phone number, username, password). just make sure the agere stuff is 
running whenever you try to dial in.

or for wvdial, make sure the agere daemon is running then run 
'wvdialconf' which will create a config file; edit this with your ISP 
details, and run wvdial (i have to run this as root).
