strange, really. My notebook (P4M 1,6Ghz, 512MB Ram, notebook 5400rpm hd) 
needs ca. 16min, This workstation (1Ghz K7, 768MB Ram) needs (while reading 
emails, upgrading the system etc.) needs just 20 mins.
No hacky optimizations (IDE with dma etc, i686 glibc, some prelinking)
