sounds like what's referred to elsewhere as pixel fireworks? If so it
should only appear in overlay mode (aka video an directx) and should be
fixable by switching off fastwrite in the driver.

However, i never heard of the resolution problems anywhere. But i think
i'll get the thing within the next two days and will see if it works
with my radeon.
