[ltp] T40 (2372-92G) and 2.6 kernels - pain will not go away

im the proud owner of a T40p 
i have standby and speedstep working with mine.

ive used apm for pm since acpi sucks and made enhanced speedstep build as module.
then i have set default gouvernour to userspace and voila! 
i modprobe speedstep-centrino and then im able to echo the speed into 
/sys/devices/cpu ....bla bla /usr/src/documentation have info file about it
