[ltp] T41 cpufreqd issue

Greetings,

I have Fedora Core 1 with kernel 2.4.22-1.2188.nptl running on an IBM
T41 (2378-EPU). I'm trying to use cpufreqd to throttle the CPU when I'm
running on the batter but cannot seem to convince it to put either the
minimum or maximum CPU frequency below 35%.

I've seen the CPU freq down near 200Mhz under WindowsXPPro so I should
be able to get down to that kind of speed under linux, no?

[root@cub 0]# echo '0%15%15%powersave' > /proc/cpufreq
[root@cub 0]# cat /proc/cpufreq
minimum CPU frequency - maximum CPU frequency - policy
CPU 0 600000 kHz ( 35 %) - 600000 kHz ( 35 %) - powersave

Am I doing something wrong?
