What kind of supsend-to-disk are you talking about ? The bios one (using
Fn-F12) or a software one (swsusp, ...) ? 

I'm actually running APM on my R50. I've seen my batteries going down
very quickly. Maybe it will be interesting for me to try acpi if the
bios suspend-to-disk is supported.
