The 770 series Thinkpads can be set in the BIOS to boot from CD ROM. However. . . with certain types of hard drives installed, it doesn't work. It works all right with 20GB and 25GB drives. Not with 2GB and 4GB. Or maybe it's the caddies they're in. Very disconcerting. Anyone else had this happen?
