[ltp] Replacing the bios bootsplash?

Hi,

has anyone looked into or read about a way to replace the initial
(IBM/Pentium M) BIOS Bootsplash screen with a custom one? This would be
very neat - coherent BIOS, grub, kernel, gdm, gnome-splash and
gnome-background image :-)
