Is anyone using autofs? For me '--timeout=<tout>' option in /etc/auto.master
does not work (ie. I wait, wait and wait and the device is not unmounted).
I'm using Debian and this is what '/etc/init.d/autofs status' gives me:

-- snip --

Configured Mount Points:
------------------------
/usr/sbin/automount --timeout=2 --verbose /var/autofs/misc file
/etc/auto.misc
/usr/sbin/automount --timeout=2 --verbose /var/autofs/removable file
/etc/auto.removable
/usr/sbin/automount --timeout=30 --verbose /var/autofs/ssh program
/usr/bin/auto.sshfs uid=1000,gid=1000,
/usr/sbin/automount --timeout=30 --verbose /var/autofs/ftp program
/usr/bin/auto.ftpfs uid=1000,gid=1000,

Active Mount Points:
--------------------
/usr/sbin/automount --pid-file=/var/run/autofs/_var_autofs_misc.pid
--timeout=2 --verbose /var/autofs/misc file /etc/auto.misc
/usr/sbin/automount --pid-file=/var/run/autofs/_var_autofs_removable.pid
--timeout=2 --verbose /var/autofs/removable file /etc/auto.removable
/usr/sbin/automount --pid-file=/var/run/autofs/_usr_bin_auto.sshfs.pid
--timeout=30 --verbose /var/autofs/ssh program /usr/bin/auto.sshfs
uid=1000,gid=1000,
/usr/sbin/automount --pid-file=/var/run/autofs/_usr_bin_auto.ftpfs.pid
--timeout=30 --verbose /var/autofs/ftp program /usr/bin/auto.ftpfs
uid=1000,gid=1000,

-- snip --

auto-mounting works without ptoblems; auto-unmounting doesn't. I tried
googling
on this but I couldn't find anything.

thanks,
