I just spend some time trying to understand selinux. If you just compile a
vanilla kernel with the options of your choice, chances are that it will
not run FC3's init. You need selinux and xattr, and the tmpfs xattr patch
is not in 2.6.9. So the easiest thing would be to wait for 2.6.10, this
should then run with fedora's .config. Otherwise you'll have to track down
the tmpfs xattr patches... Or disable selinux.

BTW, APM can suspend-to-disk. But you need a special partition.
