I've done that too and I dissasembled the .sys files (drivers) with PE explorer
but even I haven't figured out how the accelerometers are programmed.

btw: to APS be usable it has to react in advance (when it has learned it
is the begin of going to be shock) or it hasn't time to park the disk
arm. I have read that from the white papers.
