The recovery process on my t42p DID wipe the complete drive.

i was familiar with the same: on my old IBM notebooks i used to just shrink
c:, and any recovery processes would just reformat that. The recovery i
recently used on my t42p (burned the cd's with the supplied program) wiped
the drive completly.
