[ltp] short 802.11b pcmcia card

i have an lucent/orinico gold pcmcia card in my T23.  it functions very
nicely, except that it sticks out a good inch from the left side
of the laptop and i am paranoid that when i close up the notebook
and put it aside that it will become damaged or damage the internals
of the machine if the notebook it placed on its side.  Furthermore,
the card must be removed when transporting the machine.

are there any short 802.11 cards?  i have for example a SCSI PCMCIA card
which does not protrude beyond the case.
