You don`t need to stay with 5.0.0.3, I use
Device: 350 Series
Manufacturer: Cisco Systems
Firmware Version: 5.20.17

It`s the minipci device in a Thinkpad R40

and it works just fine with 2.6.7/2.6.8.1/2.6.9-rc3

I did not test the newest firmware
