[ltp] R51 - OSD not working

Hi all,

thanks for this interesting discussion. I also noted that OSD had
stopped working. I think the reason is that tpb (Debian package) used
to have an init script starting it as root! That has obviously been
removed for security reasons.

As root I do: modprobe nvram Then I can just start tpb as my normal
user and OSD works as before.  One should also copy /etc/tpbrc to
~/.tpbrc and edit according to personal preferences (for example, I
like to bind Firefox to the Access IBM button).
