Hi Mario,
with the help of the power save trick, I can reduce it to 15-16W, but this is 
1-2W higher than before (better than 8-10W more). The vbetool doesn't restart 
the ati card in a perfect way, something is really missing.
I hoped that this is a problem with the 3D engine of the ati card, but you say 
that your fgl_glxgears is working all the time.
